Ingredients
- 2 tbsps. cooking oil
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. cooked ham, chopped
- 1/4 k. boiled pork, diced
- 1/2 c. shrimps, chopped
- 1/2 c. cooked chick peas
- 1 c. snap beans or habituelas, cut in diagonal strips
- 1/2 k. ubod in match-like strips (heart of palm)
- 2 c. cabbage, shredded
- 2 tsps. salt
- 24 pcs. lettuce leaves or spring onions
- 1 c. carrots, julienned
- Ground peanuts for toppings (optional)
Preparation
- Brown garlic in hot cooking oil, add onions, cook slowly until soft
- Add pork, ham, shrimps and chickpeas
- Simmer for 5 minutes
- Combine carrots, stringbeans and ubod
- Cook covered until veggies are half done
- Drain and season
- Let cool
- Set broth aside for brown sauce
- Wrap mixture in home-made wrapper lined with lettuce leaves or spring onions
- Serve with brown sauce. May be topped with grounded peanuts and half fried crushed garlic.
